Two free classes were held the Opening Day afternoon of Chain Link 2000 on Thursday, August 17, 2000.
Reading International Crochet Symbols. Jean Blaine.
held Noon to 2 PM.
Have you ever wondered how to read those squiggles that are called International Crochet Symbols? Then this is the time to learn! Jean Blaine will help decipher and demystify the diagrams. Once you've mastered this technique you can buy pattern books from other countries and as along as the pattern is diagramed in symbols, you can use it. Learn how to draw out the pattern and help clear up those confusing, difficult written instructions. Bring a pencil and a good eraser and some graph paper - 4 squares to the inch is easiest to see. Also bring a pattern with which you have had problems in the past even if you haven't resolved those problems yet.
