DR201AP. How to Crochet on the Double. Jennifer McClain and Donna Robertson. Sponsored by The Needlecraft Shop, Big Sandy, Texas. How do you crochet with the double hook, and why would you want to? We're reintroducing the techniques of crocheting with a double end hook. For years, crocheters have seen the funny-looking crochet hook, which has a hook on each end. And for years, people have bought them wondering what to do with this odd crochet tool. Apparently there have been no instructions published for using this hook for about two decades. During the class, we'll show you how to do the basic stitches, as well as several pattern stitches. By selecting the right size hook and yarn, the fabric is wonderfully soft and draping and when you use high contrast colors, you'll create a crochet piece that is reversible, too. Take this class, and if you already know the basic crochet stitches (ch, sc, dc), we'll have you crocheting on the double hook in just one hour! We'll supply the hooks and instruction book for How to Crochet on the Double, and once you've learned, go home with the excitement and wow all your friends with your new-found knowledge of Crochet on the Double!
