During the Chapter Luncheon on Saturday, August 11, 2001, the CGOA and the Sacramento Crochet Guild offered a Challenge to the other Chapters of CGOA. Members of the chapters attending the conference were invited to show off their activities and creative abilities of their members.
Each registered chapter received a display board approximately 36" x 48" and had 30 minutes to organize and assemble a display about their chapter. CGOA International Liaison Pauline Turner was the judge.

For its first place finish, the Northern Illinois chapter will have its chapter affiliation fee to CGOA waived for one year.
