Members of the Northern Illinois Chapter of CGOA crocheted "beaded beads" in purple and teal, the conference colors. Bead artist Jenny Bezingue then used the beads to create a stunning beaded bead necklace and earring set. The necklace and earrings were raffled to raise money for the Northern Illinois chapter which hosted the Chain Link 2003 conference.

Phoenix Custom Primitives of Fort Valley, Georgia donated four crochet hooks as raffle prizes at Chain Link 2003: Water buffalo horn, Stellar's Sea Cow, Baleen, and Black coral.

Lydia Borin, the "Beadwrangler", designed the "Jazzy Net" necklace specially for the Chain Link 2003 conference. The necklace is worked in bead crochet netting and bead single crochet in the round, primarily with size 11/0 Czech beads and Jean Stitch thread, plus fine metallic thread to jazz it up. In keeping with the conference theme, Lydia added a sterling saxophone, trombone, and musical notes.
