| Map Quest! Challenge:
Happily Hooked on Crocheting Club
Connecticut
The Map Quest! Challenge was for each local CGOA
chapter to submit a map on posterboard showing places where the
chapter had been, indicate where members live in relation to regular
meeting location, and a description of the chapter.

Caps for Kids
The Caps for Kids Challenge was to see which chapter of CGOA
could crochet the most caps for charity. The real winners were
the needy children of New Hampshire who received the caps.

Elegant Splendor Raffle Prize
Ann Voland was the lucky winner of Lydia Borin's
fabulous bead crochet creation as a raffle prize. Elegant Splendor
is a semiprecious gemstone chip crocheted rope composed of Amethyst,
Moonstone, Blue Goldstone and Lazurite. The rope was crocheted with
YLI Jean Stitch thread and is 30 inches in length. This rope is
graduated in size, wide at the center and thin at the neck section.
Elegant Splendor is a project in Carol Wilcox Wells' latest book,
"The Art & Elegance of Beadweaving." This special
raffle raised $888 for CGOA. |
