CGOA Design Contest Awards Presentation and Gift Exchange
Gather with us at 6 pm to learn who has won prizes in the 2010 CGOA Design Contest (if you haven't yet entered, see forms on the CGOA Members-Only page! Let's kick off the 2010 Chain Link with a bang!

Also join the fun during the gift exchange — anyone who brings a crocheted item (maximum materials cost $20) will receive one in exchange. Be sure to include a card with your name, address and phone number to identify the creator!

Shopping Preview
Start your shopping early – doors to the exhibit floor open at 7 pm. Visit the Knit & Crochet Show Vendors page and watch for the list of vendors to be posted online. CGOA is a co-sponsor of the Knit & Crochet Show, making this shopping opportunity available for all crocheters. CGOA members enter the show floor free! Displays will include the CGOA Design Competition entries.

SILENT AUCTION - "HATS" OFF TO YOU!
So many of our members donate thousands of chemo caps and other lovingly stitched items to help local hospitals and hospices that treat their loved ones and friends. To honor their faithful work and to benefit all who suffer from these relentless diseases, our 2010 Silent Auction is about hats that recall better times or hopeful dreams!

Hats come in so many styles and forms — who knows what will be on display! Original HATs or TIARAs or CAPs or CROWNs crocheted or knitted (or both) will be donated by wonderful designers and will be on display for your bids. Winning bids of the "Hats Off To You Silent Auction" at the Friday and Saturday evening dinner events will go (100%!) to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Come prepared to support this great charity — and wear your favorite hat home!

FRIDAY
More Great Classes and More Shopping! Take 3 to 6 hours of the best classes the crochet world has to offer. Make sure your CGOA membership is current so you can save on your class tickets – save even more when you pre-register. The shopping floor will be open, also. A stroll through the aisles will unfold before you with all of the great fibers, accessories, tools, patterns and books you've been looking for.

CGOA Reading & Understanding Crochet Patterns
From 12 pm - 1 pm, come to the lounge for this basic class on understanding a crochet pattern — abbreviations, symbols, sentence structure and more. If you have a pattern that's confusing you, feel free to bring it along and ask us about it. Brought to you by Those Yarn Crocheters, the Harrisburg Chapter of CGOA.

Parade of Fashions
At 1 pm, find a seat near the show floor stage so you can view a whirl of exhibitor fashions. Jot down the name of the vendor when you spot something you really love, so you can get the pattern afterward at their booth!

CGOA Annual Member Meeting, CGOA Club Caron Dance Party
All members welcome at 6:15 pm! Come and hear the latest plans for great things from your association! Sponsor: Bryson Distributing. Then party on! At 7:30 pm the music begins on the CGOA Club Caron Dance Party, sponsored by Caron International. Crochetville is underwriting the cost of the music licensing.

CGOA Chapter Coffee
On Friday, July 9 at 8:30 pm send up to two representatives from your chapter to share ideas with fellow chapters. Clover Needlecraft, Inc. is sponsoring the meeting and providing light refreshments.

On Saturday, July 10 from 12 pm - 1 pm come to the Lounge and spend some time with the Presidents of CGOA – new and old! Reminisce about the old days and get excited about upcoming CGOA plans!

On Saturday from 12 pm – 1 pm come to the Lounge and find out how you can volunteer on a committee with CGOA!

Designer Meet & Greet Editorial Staffs
From 10:30 am – 1:30 pm, meet face-to-face with various editorial staffs to discuss and submit your patterns and ideas for publication.

CGOA Member Dinner, Fashion Show and Culmination of the Silent Auction
Get your tickets early! Following a great meal, ooh and ahh as CGOA member and crochet designer fashions hit the fashion runway! This is sure to be a highlight of your Chain Link experience.
