The Results Are In!

CGOA begins the year with four Board members returning for second terms following the membership vote. Congratulations to Cari Clement, Tammy Hildebrand, Jane Rimmer and Karen Whooley. They, along with Jack Blumenthal, Mary Colucci and Amy Shelton, form the Board of Directors. At their organizational meeting on January 4, the Board voted to retain the same officers: President Amy Shelton, Vice President Cari Clement, Secretary Karen Whooley and Treasurer Jane Rimmer.

The membership also approved a CGOA Bylaws revision that will allow for electronic balloting starting with 2012's Board elections. Thank you to those of you who took the time to fill out and return your ballots.

THE VOTING IS OVER AND YOU HAVE DECIDED: JEAN LEINHAUSER IS THE WINNER OF THE FIRST CGOA CROCHET HALL OF FAME!!!

Coming in second was Margaret Hubert and third, Lily Chin. Jean won with 71% of the vote, Margaret with 64% and Lily with 57% (members could vote for up to three).

Congratulations to everyone – and thanks to all who took the time to vote. Be sure to join us in Minneapolis on Wednesday, July 27 at the Textile Center where CGOA will honor Jean for her life of service to crocheters and CGOA members the world over. And if you have any special stories about Jean, please let us know by sending us an e-mail at CGOAHallofFame@gmail.com.
